Description |
This event will feature a number of presentations by SIU-affiliated scientists and inventors with technology to license or research collaborations to outline. Keynote presentations will be given by successful industry collaborators Dr. James Bashkin, Research Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UMSL and Chemistry Director/Co-founder of NanoVir, and Matt Kulig, serial entrepreneur, MBA (from SIUE), and currently COO for Aisle411.com. In To wrap up the afternoon, a panel of representatives from industry, university administration, inventors and investors will provide insight into the technology commercialization process. Read more about the panel, entitled Ideas to Markets: Successful Technology Commercialization.
Throughout the day exhibitions by speakers, sponsors, service providers, academia, and entrepreneurs will be on display in the common areas. The event will wrap up with an attendee and alumni reception with beverages and hors d'oeuvres.
This event is about creating new opportunities for commercialization and further technology development from the research at the SIU System campuses.
